Should there be a "unanswered" tab in mahalo?

Should there be a "unanswered" tab in mahalo? Please give pros and cons. No one-word answers will be accepted.

What if the questions only got put into the unanswered bin after they had been unanswered for 24 hours? I agree with lynemma that pretty soon we will all be missing questions that we can answer simply because there will be too many of them.

That's what I was looking for! A good solution to all of the problems that making an unanswered questions tab could produce.

My biggest problem with an unanswered tab is that people would use it to get the unanswered questions as quickly as possible, and so questions would get twenty crappy answers in the first five minutes of it being up, and then nothing afterwards.

I like this idea, of putting questions up in an unanswered column after 24 hours.

I'll say this: There is an "Answered" tab. The likelihood of a question being answered his very high. The chances of a question being unanswered is very low. Therefore, I conclude an "Unanswered" tab would be much more useful than an "Answered" tab.

Thanks for your question.

I think that it would be very useful as many people like to look through the unanswered folder to find questions that they can answer. There might also be a buildup as questions become more popular so it could help keep unanswered questions to a manageable level.

You could possibly have the asker flag the question as unanswered in those circumstances,

I think it would be very useful in the future. I just found an unanswered question from two days ago that I was well qualified to answer. I missed it on the first go-round.
