Pinning Saga #2: Informational
I've discovered a few time-saving methods for repinning errant sections, and thought I'd share.
It seems to be okay to move sections between pins as long as everything between is unpinned. Also, it doesn't seem to work if more sections are introduced between pinned items, as has been suggested before.
The best technique that I've found is to move sections only downward, not upward.
Let's say you have a list of names:
Allen
Ann
Betty
Mark
Steve
Mark moves around, so that it ends up like this:
Allen: pinned
Mark: pinned
Betty: unpinned
Ann: pinned
Steve: pinned
Keep Allen and Steve pinned. Move Mark down.
Allen: pinned
Betty
Ann
Mark
Steve: pinned
Move Betty down.
Allen: pinned
Ann
Betty
Mark
Steve: pinned
Re-pin Ann, Betty, and Mark.
Prior to discovering this, I'd been having the same issues with three or four sections being affected by one errant one. Finally, I tried this idea, with the idea that I'd create stability from the top down.
Voila! After the first try, no more movement.
Are you experiencing similar results?

While some problems seem to have been ironed out, such as the delay when un/pinning, I still encounter problems with pinned items being bumped out of place when sending things up the page. Good luck with your page building, and, hopefully, Mahalo will be able to get things resolved so that page management isn't so unnecessarily time consuming.
Mahalom,
