Depends on what you mean by "treated".

They both get the same treatment from the system: same amount of time to choose a best answer, same functionality of tips, etc.

Obviously, the opinion-based questions do not get the same treatment from the users. Then again, not all fact-based questions get the same treatment either.

Questions are like snowflakes... each one different.
