I agree about disliking undecided questions. It would be nice if there were a way to encourage askers to pick a best answer. I'm not sure a sig line is the solution, though. I can't be the only one who's so used to them being advertising that I filter them out. And newcomers asking a first or second question might not realize the suggestion was aimed at them.
What I think might have to happen eventually is a "Read this first" or "Getting started at Mahalo" section on the front page. It would be a brief intro that hits the high points. Among those high points could be your well turned phrase about selecting a best answer.

I'd be with you if you suggested some sort of zapper mechanism that you must purchase before you become a member.

I want to put a signature to prevent undecided questions. Who is with me?
After the Source(s):, the signature will be along the lines of "Please select a best answer so that our efforts are rewarded."
What do you think of this? Who is with me?

I'm not a fan of the idea. I think preventing undecided questions is impossible, and I don't think a signature would even do anything to reduce the number. I'd be with you if you suggested some sort of zapper mechanism that you must purchase before you become a member.

Very funny :)) but I want people to "join the movement", not shock them (with my cunning and my wit ;P).
