I sympathize with you. I've been thinking the same thing. Maybe there should be a red, white and blue belt for free thinkers.
How about this one?

Oh yes, really good answers and helpful tips are great, but - brown tip/belt...after the green and purple, such a tough color transition :).
I feel your pain @albanian.

One thing I don't like about the belts is the tip color. Why not just go to another full color. There are plenty of colors that are not used.

I want to keep my purple belt. I don't like brown or black. How do I do that?
I'm starting to get close to an ugly brown splotch on my nice purple belt. What can I do? I don't want to go back to white, yellow, or green. I like purple!

That's a nice one. So is the Red White & Blue suggestion. I've always liked the British colors. My personal choice would be Purple, Yellow, and Green.

I understand, color coordination is very important and we all know that it is all about fashion here at MA. Oh yes, really good answers and helpful tips are great, but - brown tip/belt...after the green and purple, such a tough color transition :).

I think you will just have to remain at your current point level and not make it up to the brown point level. One thing I don't like about the belts is the tip color. Why not just go to another full color. There are plenty of colors that are not used.
