Oh really good contest...but I am sad I could not participate. But I will vote which is best. You commented all the questions thats good.
I honestly think @rob brown and @wdawe done it well, but my vote gose to whom? To know that visit your contest page.

Because I and @stanar did as the question asked.Wanted vote, we voted...Wanted help, we helped.....so any of us can be choosen for best answer.

It was unfair to choose no best answer
I understand that this was to promote the contest, but if you are going to use a tipped question then you probably should pay out.... If you can't pay out then its probably best not to tip the question in the first place.

Good idea and a great contest to get a good video for your "How to" page.
I like both the clips, well made and great attempts by both @robbrown and @wdawe.
@wdawe has justified not using the mahalo banner in the background. So my vote goes to @wdawe based on these:
1. Top angle
2. Lighting
3. Keeping it simple and short.
4. Keeping the person out of the frame, keeps the focus on the "How To".
You could have used @wdawe's method to make a video yourself too.
