How many M$ have you made out of direct questions?

I haven't made any M$ from direct questions.
Once there are enough users and therefore enough questions so that it is infeasible to read through them all then I think people will stick to the categories that they know the best. When this happens clear leaders in each category will be established and people may be more willing to ask a direct question with a tip rather than risk their important question to the rapidly changing feed.
This would tie in well with a comment I read around here about letting people customize the home page to only pull from categories they choose.
So I don't think the system is broken or that it isn't working, it just hasn't had its chance to shine yet.

I made $0 out of direct questions, too. I've only made $1 for an answer. That was from someone who works for Mahalo. I gave that $1 back to someone else as a tip. If I were here to make money, I'd say Mahalo isn't working for me. But money isn't everything, is it?
I've made M$2 from direct questions. I guess it's just my overall superior knowledge
M$3. That was a question where I had corrected a too quick "best answer" and the questioner wanted to tip me.

Yes it was. He could't figure out how to tip me, so he asked a direct question and tipped me for that.

Zero here as well... unless you count the $25 that Darcy returned to me from my HUGE tip that I gave her... and she partially returned. Nice, Darcy... Good, Darcy...
It's not working because there's no real way to find an expert here yet. Nothing easy. It's more easy just to ask a general question.

I've only been asked a few direct questions, none had been worth any M$, but then again none were probably worth any money they were just simple personal questions.
Except for one actually, somebody asked me "Why we have volcanoes" still easy to answer, I found them a sweet 101 video and other references.
