I first began Mahalo about 2 months back? Then after a month, I already earned $120! :D Quite big for a beginner. But the truth is, people are so kind around here. They give tips when you have answered correctly even you're answer isn't picked as the best one.

Hmm... So how did I managed to get that $120 dollars? Here's how...

1. I answered questions. Whenever research is needed, I research. Sometimes you won't have the best answer but don't lose hope. Just do your best in every answer you give. When you give out great answers, someone could give a tip. Like I said, people are appreciative here. When they see a deserving answer, though you didn't make it for the best answer, they'll give you tip. ^^

2. I religiously participate on How to Rush Week tasks. Each submitted task will be checked and once approved, you'll earn the corresponding amount written on the claimed task.

This How to Rush Week usually start on Wednesdays. Then after the week, they'll announce the ones who had best articles and will be included on the How To Team. The top 4 on the list will also win $25 each. I haven't made it to the How to Team though... :( But I have no plans on giving up! ^^

When you're in the How to Team, you could claim more than 1 task a week so it gives you more money once your articles are accepted. ^^

3. There's also barnraising tasks. I haven't joined yet though. But this will enable you to earn more than I did. Every task approved will make you earn a corresponding account. You can also finish as many as you could. The ones who had done most tasks will win prizes too! From what I remember, you could win as much as $100! great way to earn right? ^^ But first, of course your task must be approved. ^^

4. Manage a page! :D How to claim a page? You can either claim on Mahalo home page where some topics are listed and some of it not being managed yet. You can also claim by searching a particular topic and if they don't belong to anyone yet, you can claim them. ^^

New members has limited number of pages to manage. You can ask an increase if you want to by clicking the button under your avatar in your page. There's a link there called 'Request Increase'. Simply click that and wait for the admins to review your request. If you're pretty qualified, they'll add some a number of pages.

You can also manage a page by claiming a task. Once the task is approved, that page is yours automatically! :) But it's up to you if you don't want a certain page anymore. You can always abandon it by clicking the link 'Abandon' beside the page titles on your profile page under 'Pages Managed' tab. :)

I think that's pretty much everything. :) TIP, if you really want to earn money, work for it. You have to be extra hardworking here to get more. Don't lose hope if something came up like your answers can't reach the Best Answer status or your articles are being rejected at times. It's pretty normal. Just do you best everytime and you're on the right track! ^^
