I get what you're thinking... and to some degree it's been done (the Oscars M$100 contest). I think that it's a good idea but one that shouldn't really be encouraged too much.

I work a lot harder on a M$20 question then I do on a M$1 question. I'd rather win nothing than have the value of my answers regularly knocked down by having to split the tip with other people.

From every answer that I don't win, I review what I could have done better and apply that to the next question.

Personally, I like it a lot better when I'm close to winning an answer and am tossed even a fraction of an additional tip (even M$1). This really makes me feel like my answer was close and appreciated.

I am not sure how that would work. Sounds interesting though. There have been times when I like a couple answers I have received and what I do is choose the best answer then I will actually send a tip to the other people that I think answered the question well.

I think that it is a good idea because sometimes there are two answers that are really good and it is difficult to choose which is better if they are both well written.Jacob Wayne Peacock

It do happens sometimes that we may like more than one answer and would like to reward two people's answer for their effort put in answering. And for that, It would be good idea to split the tip into two halves and give it to two best answers.
