Have you ever wished the asker is more involved in reviewing the answers during the lifecyle of the question?
Many a time, I have seen that the asker doesnt review or vote helpful/unhelpful on the asnwers the question is getting. I am not talking about the twitter questions. Even questions with a very good Tip.
I wish the asker is more involved in his/her own question which will make it more interactive and interesting to answer.

I've only asked a few questions because I generally only ask if I feel like I have a good question for discussion. Because my questions are generally discussion questions, you will get a response from me almost every time.
I know what you're saying though, stanar, and I agree. I would like to see more response from the asker. Sometimes this allows for an improved answer after the asker comments on the original answer.
Take Help Me Name My Software for instance. Wouldn't it be great if the asker gave some feedback on what sorts of names he/she was liking? It would probably improve the quality of the answers after it, and it may prompt some answers to be improved.
@albanian has a good point though. I think many answers probably are asked with no real interest by the asker.

thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Exactly that's one of the questions I am referring to.

Answer one of my questions and you are bound to get a comment. But even I don't manage to pick a best answer all the time because the period for choosing is too short. If I'm away for a weekend, for instance, all I can usually do is vote.
Meanwhile, I think a lot of questions are asked just for the sake of asking a lot of questions and the asker could care less about the answers. Some people are worse than others.
I think Mahalo should reduce the number of questions per day that people can ask. I'd suggest one question per day per belt level.

I understand sometimes the asker is away from the computer or doesnt have access to a computer. these are exceptions.
I think there is a question limit based on the belt level.

I have to admit I turn away from Mahalo for hours at a time when I see certain people flood the site with questions. I love that people want to be active on Mahalo but it is a problem when the front page is filled with one persons questions, normally about the same type of topic.
I think one question per day per belt level might be a little limiting but I would LOVE to at least see a limit to how many can be asked at a time (say half hour or 1 hour between questions... and adjust that limit to less based on belt level). Anything to remove the constant floods we receive that give the general public the appearance that questions are only asked by one person!

@girlieq3000 - I am not able to comment your answer, seems like another bug:
No need to comment if doesnt warrant one. but at least a helpful/unhelpful vote would help, if not helpful then a comment.
Not to each and every answer. at least to good relevant answers.

A clarification "button" should be included. The "clock" stops under those conditions until the question asker clarifies what they really want.
Certainly in computer/technical questions it might be nice to be able to ask the owner what OS/Phone/program/country they are in.
I do - but I'm guilty of doing the same thing too. I will clarify anything the answer asks, but I don't always comment on every little thing. I vote helpful on the helpful ones but I don't always vote unhelpful.
I sometimes don't pick best answer because I'm not really sure and the answers community is actually pretty accurate.. The most I've given is like 4 dollars ( i think) and i let it go to voting because I wasn't sure what the correct answer should be since I didn't have enough knowledge of the situation myself to pick accurately!
However, I think if someone asks a question, say, how to lose weight, and I were to answer that I needed more details like current height and weight, i expect to get a reply.
Also, though I think it might be a bug (or I just dont watch closely enough) but I don't get emails for every one of the comments on my questions or answers to I tend to miss them often....

Part of it may just be the asker's lack of familiarity with Mahalo Answers navigation. I've learned to monitor activity through my Profile and SPY sections. Both tools are very useful, but I learned them over time.
When I post a question here, I would really be curious to check on the answers no matter I am aware of SPY feature or not. It's just me.
A novice user may not necessarily know how to find the question again after they have asked it. On a busy day, some questions can get buried pretty quickly. Maybe the RSS feed works for monitoring a question. I'll have to give that a try.
