Have you considered leaving your questions open for a longer amount of time?

When you ask a question on Mahalo Answers you have a couple days before the system will ask you to pick the "best answer"... by leaving the questions open for a couple of days you have a better chance of gaining true great answers and you give the community a chance to interact with you and your questions. By picking a "best answer" after just an hour or two many people will never even have a chance to see your question.
