Mahalo is adding a tip to all questions that don't offer a tip.

Does anyone else think that Mahalo's dual use of the term 'tip' is confusing?

1. You can earn a tip or tip another user.
2. Certain belts have different colored tips.

I've thought it was confusing since the belt "tips" were introduced... primarily because I was taught to use "stripes" when talking about TKD belts...

I have never actually thought about the fact that the word is used in two different ways on the site. The difference between a cash tip and a belt tip is different enough that I don't think it is a source of confusion for too many on the site.

It isn't confusing to me, but I came aboard just a few days after MA became a public beta. There was some discussion when belt tips were introduced, but generally it's pretty simple, and most people don't discuss belt tips anyhow.
