I love the feeling, well more like loved the feeling. It seemed impossible to get my brown belt and now it seems miles away until I get my black.
I remember, however, when I was around your level (yellow) how good it felt to get to the next one as it was quite easy at the beginning. Once you hit green/purple things, getting points becomes steadily harder and having the enjoyment of a belt becomes less!
What keeps me satisfied? Getting a task accepted or having a best answer!

However, when I got my Mahaloian of the Week, I actually flipped out. I screamed and ran around the room. Not even joking. I did a bit of a happy dance, and I pretty sure I may have told Jeff I loved him. I was just a purple belt/brown tip then i think (sigh, the good ol' days) and I was pretty darn proud of myself. I posted it on my Facebook, my profile, my MSN, and anywhere else applicable. I may even have called my mom.
Way over the top in my opinion.
I don't think a simple belt level merits that kind of excitement (we'll see about black, maybe then I'll have a party or something :) but I can say I've overreacted quite a bit.

Do you get excited when you earn a new belt level?
Okay, by tomorrow I should be elligible for my green tip. :-)
When you get a new belt color or tip is it a big deal to you? Why or why not?

Yes, I get very excited! My life has gotten kind of complicated lately so I don't get to spend as much time here as I'd like and getting a new belt is getting harder because of that. But it is a nice feeling knowing your moving up. Getting best answer also is a great feeling! When I got my first best answer I was shocked and pleased. It's also nice the way you get the messages congratulating you on getting to your next belt level. It just makes it feel more personal. :)

Yes! And when I get close, I start to do a lot of voting to get there just a little faster. 700 to my black tip! I don't really freak out since I knew it was coming. I just sort of get a happy-inside feeling. However, when I got my Mahaloian of the Week, I actually flipped out. I screamed and ran around the room. Not even joking.
