Do you feel valued here on Mahalo?
Just curious... there's no reason other than pure curiosity.
Do you feel that your time and contributions here on Mahalo are valued not only by the people who make it work but by other users?
If so, can you give me a tangible example of a reason why you feel valued or a time when something happened that made you think, "wow, this is a great place"?

I feel extremely appreciated around here, maybe even overvalued!
From the first time I earned my yellow belt tip, and then yellow belt, and @jeffhoard sent private messages asking how I liked Mahalo, instantly I felt like I mattered to Mahalo.
More recent examples of feeling very, very valued include my Brown Belt test --so many kind words, so much love on this site.
But I think the biggest example of feeling extremely flattered and appreciated was when I was Mahaloian of the Week. So many people said so many kind and wonderfully flattering things. And to think that people are interested enough in this semi-anonymous mystery person that I'm worth getting to know better through those interview questions, well that's pretty darn amazing and special!
So yes, for all the hard work, energy, and heart I put into this site, I feel like I get it back and then some. I have to say kudos to all the Mahaloians and staff for making this one of the most respectful and giving sites I've encountered.
And now I've been too gushy, and we can't have that. So I'll just post this:

I have felt valued since day one.
The atmosphere at Mahalo is different than other community sites. Many members welcomed me and made me feel like I made a difference.
When I asked a question, it was answered very politely.
When I answered a question, others gave great comments, and uplifting words.
Staff was, as always, exceptional. They are so open here and they welcome our comments, suggestions, and even criticisms. (Not that I criticize) =)
I've seen community views taken into consideration and changes made on the fly based on community input, some of which was mine.
And something that really impressed me was the way open hostility was handled by both staff and members. Sometimes a member posts something they are really upset about, and I've seen the response from everyone soothe ruffled feathers and bring peace.
You just don't see that other places. Too often the owner of a site will step in and "put the person in their place" or just delete the unwanted comments. Here, open discussion is encouraged, and the community won't stand for unfairness or rants... but they are never rude to the original poster.
@jasoncalacanis has fostered this atmosphere. Rudeness is not tolerated... from anyone - not himself, not staff, and not members.
It's a pretty peaceful place to be... and I like that. =)

Yes, I feel valued!
I was on the conundrum street team and my son had a terrible car accident I wasn't sure how much time I could spend online. I wrote lon and told him I wasn't sure if I could continue. He wrote me back and said not to worry about it that my son's health was the most important thing and if I wanted to come back at a later date, I could. It was then that I felt part of a family.

Yo....actually I am feeling shy to say, I am valued. So I would like to say, all loves me that's true.
When @jeffhoard makes me DQ abou how to I can increase my English proficiency then I felt I loved by him.
When you said mahalo also love me then I felt really community loves me.
When @ritzy rewrite my pages just for increasing my page's quality then I felt I loved by her.
When @Michelleldevon made DQ with these words "I have also a son of your age circle........................I saw you developing yourself very rapidly" and permit her son to use mahalo after looking at me then I felt I loved by her.
When @shinju gave me mahalo spirit award then I felt same.
When @kerry chat with me in facebook and make me clear about my tasks feedback and give me instructions then I felt I loved by this gentleman.
When @mithrandir replied 3/4 emails each day of mine then I felt he is my another lover.
When I nominated at ATOD just one time in the last ATOD contest that also has the same expression.
When community answers so so helpful answer to help me then I felt I also love them.
Please follow this link to see how much community loves me...
who-is-my-friend-here-help-me-please-please-w8-form
After viewing this question @pellrider wasted her some valued time (from her office room) to fill out mine W8 form, she was talking what should I write in part one's line 4(example) and I was filling my form. Oh..great.
And many many other reason and so atlast I would say total mahalo loves me.
I don't know this is either a answer or not because you asked about value. But rob I think no one has value to someone left love. Am I sure?
Thanks
