Yes. Yes I do.

I'm trying to decide between that and RSS as my sniping technique.

Usually I just refresh the "Tip" Tab.

I'd rather take my time browsing older questions to find ones that I can truly answer than try and get the first answer in on every question that comes around. Some questions I just know I won't be any help whatsoever.

Yes!
Next project is to write a desktop client that does a "alert popup" (like Outlook or Thunderbird notifying you of new email) notifying me of a new question.

You could just get an RSS reader that has notifications.

Hadn't even noticed the 'spy' feature!
But i'm definitely getting into the habit of refreshing the answers homepage each time I come back to my computer. Pretty addictive.

I tried, but clicking on the "Offering tip" link is a bit faster. Plus, I have the Alexa Sparky in my browser, so good for you guys (your ranking at Alexa will go a bit higher with my compulsive clicking... Or your site will go offline because of the high traffic).

Plus, the Spy seems to have a bug:
h1studio asked: Are there freewares for making a hotspot out of a windows mobile phone? Like joikuspot for symbian & WMWifi. 4 minutes ago

Which makes me wonder... Shouldn't we be all doing something else? I'm supposed to be writing a novel or my own theory of knowledge or something like that.

I don't see how something constructive like this place is at all bad.

I would rather see people come here then spending there time looking at boobs all day long, if you get my drift.

Sometimes that strategy works, if the question is in your area of expertise.

I don't use "spy" to snipe an answer, but I do use it instead of the bottom navigation arrows to view recent questions and answers.

I've found that "spy" is a more complete record of what has been asked and answered at this stage.

Now, when I'm first logging onto answers, I'll definitely see what's in that "four point" range that I'd like to respond to before I go to older stuff. But I don't go out of my way to be the first.

I think there must be some mechanism by which I should get an email notification or message on my mobile for the question posted which belongs to my area of expertise. For example I am a Linux Geek, and if someone posts a question on linux kernel problem then I must be notified somehow.
