It's definitely not The Mongols, The Hells Angels, the Outlaws or the Banditos. Could be a splinter group or a smaller local club, but not a requirement for your patch in those big clubs. Check out the Wiki link - it was pretty cool reading.

do mongols m.c. members (or any M.C.) wear raccoon tails on their patched vests?
I'm an independent biker that wears a raccoon tail on my vest, recently I was told that this was an M.C. symbol of membership or support.

I found this article which makes it appear that the raccoon tail is a black biker gang symbol.

"Rat bikes," a perverse alternative in the mode of cycle as identity extension, are often oil caked and corroded, assembled from mismatched parts, with elaborate use of coat hanger wire and steel alloy cans for patch; rat bikes may also be decorated with assemblages of found objects-antlers, turtle shells, jingle bells, pieces of vintage Chevy, raccoon tails, shopping carts, and whatever.

I think I have it narrowed down to one possibility...
The East Bay Dragon MC. I found a reference to raccoon tails in this book.

I am sure from here you can do some independent research and come to a more solid conclusion. Good luck and remember "Ride hard or stay home."
