I try to find newbies to showcase here, but @buddawiggi had such a sobering answer to @shadowbear's question

What is the most expensive cocktail in the world?

When I first saw bear's question, I was reminded of the articles or news stories I've seen that showcase our own gluttony. Drinks with diamonds sitting at the bottom and topped with shaved edible gold. It makes me cringe sometimes how far people will go to impress their friends and loved ones.

@buddawiggi looked at the bigger picture with this question and brought to light the true expense of alcohol. The ripple effect of the cost... one shot at a time.

Congratulations to Buddawiggi for a truly priceless and articulate perspective about the cost of a cocktail. The picture was heartbreaking but extremely effective. Well done!

@mithrandir for answering a question of @philipy.....
Here is his answer...what-have-you-learned-so-far-from-google-analytics-on-your-mahalo-pages-and-how-will-you-use-that-info

Now using of google analytics in mahalo pages is a hot topic in mahalo answers. He talked about it smartly....but strange someday ago he said "Now I am clear about using google analytics"lol

I think he is like to have new experience and make research.

Thanks @mith ....good job...

Safiqulislam, please make sure your posting the permalink to the answer provided by your nominee. Just makes things a lot easier and less time consuming.

Hey...@lesliec I did not find any difference between permalink and link...can you explain it?

Right, we don't recommend you go out of your way to use HTML links, they generally won't work with that code. Use the method suggested by @lesliec and you shouldn't run into any issues.

I'm nominating bootz's answer to an older question:

Found here

I appreciate the articulate writing style of this new member, who took care to go into detail about what s/he enjoys doing on a rainy day. Consequently, I'm looking forward to the next rainy day!

I will nominate @omicron for his answer to the question: Dr. Oz I'm a 17yr old male. My question is what is normal when it comes to masterurbation? asked by @jonboy17 .

It's only a .25 question, yet he provided a very extended helpful answer and obviously put a lot of effort into it. I thought he should be recognized for his efforts here in Answers of the Day.

Unfortunately, I have to vote unhelpful on this nomination and on the direct answer. Following is my verbatim comment on the answer:

"I'm voting unhelpful to discourage answers to "Ask Dr. Oz" questions. This is a trademark that belongs to Dr. Oz, and Mahalo Answers has no business encouraging or answering these. I have also reported the question as a violation of Terms of Service and will be doing likewise on all such questions in the future.

"The appropriate response is to explain that Mahalo Answers and Ask Dr. Oz are unrelated; and to direct the asker to the website: http://ask.doctoroz.com/. Likewise, report the question as a violation of Terms of Service so that it can be removed from Mahalo Answers."

Thanks for pointing that out shinju. I figured it was some kind of promotional thing like the Conundrum connection.

Actually, these questions are coming through Camilla's Ask Dr. Oz page. I've asked her to eliminate the Q&A feature to discourage them.

Since the developers have elected to resolve the title of the question on the page, I'm changing my vote to "helpful" in both places.

There have been a lot of questions about Obama winning the peace prize, but the related question of who it might have gone to instead really interested me.

Question:There is a lot of buzz about president obama winning the noble for peace. can anyone nominate a better recipient for noble prize for peace?

Although there has not been many responses I think the answer by @mithrandir has been thought out and its educational. I had indeed forgotten about the work of Morgan Tsvangirai in Zimbabwe so it was a great answer for me.

This is my first time I nominate someone. I hope I'm doing this correctly!

I nominated @opher for their answer to

What is P to P?

Opher explained it beyond the normal definition of it. With examples of sites that use P2P. The answer also taught me a few technical names I wasn't aware of that go with the P2P topic.
