As Amish starter dough processes for 10 days, consuming the sugar in the mix, does the calorie count change?
Each time I bake with my Amish starter dough I set aside a cup of it which is basically an equal mix of flour, sugar and milk plus whatever the existing organism in the dough is. Halfway through the 10 day "feeding" period I add another set of 1cup of each ingredient. I assume the organism in the starter dough is consuming the sugar as it multiplies, how does that effect the calorie count of the sugar?
