Wow thats a tough one, almost as tough as the abortion question. It seems that no matter what a persons opinion is it doesn't really mean anything unless you are in the other persons shoes. But, to answer your question,
I think Gay Marriage being legalized is wrong. It has nothing to do with someone being gay, I could care less. I love a person for who they are and
for what they stand for. Not who they have relations with. I just feel as a society we are going down the tubes trying to be fair and just to every group
that is out there. Have a ceremony of your own, make vows to one another
and stick w them. Rejoice that you have someone to share your love and life
with. A sheet of paper or nod from the state does not make it any more true,
then the simple act of telling each other " for life".

I don't think that gay marriage is wrong at all. I don't see why we should hold marriage against gay people and let straight people marry, we're all human. The ones that mostly don't agree with this decision are mainly religious people. I may be wrong about that but that's just what I see. I think that everyone should be given the right to get married, it's not like anyone is getting hurt by it. Plus, it's that couple's decision, not the person that's judging. People just don't like it because it's different and they're not use to to it; they grew up with people telling them that it's wrong. So necessarily, it's not wrong at all, they're just saying things that others have told them is wrong and that person that told them was told the same thing. Everyone should be given the right to get married to one person whether it be male or female, without anyone having to judge them. Does anyone know why this has been made illegal in the first place? It's probably because of religion. That's horrible! I think that we should accept everyone for who they are and what their decisions are as well. If you don't, then you should just leave it alone and live on with your life. Don't make someone else life horrible just because you don't like them and their decisions, it's not affecting you.

Here’s the problem for me, marriage is a ceremony that was created long ago in order to unite a man and woman for the sole purpose of creating a family. That’s what marriage is. Now, society has attached certain perks to marriage that give married couples extra privileges that unmarried people don’t have. I do believe that any two people should be allowed to form a union that grants them the same privileges as a married couple. I don’t even have a problem with three or more people joining a union (polygamy). To me it just cant be called marriage as there is a long history of what marriage is and that cant just be thrown away.

Adam and Eve's grandchildren came from Cain and his wife and also Seth and his wife.

But where did the wives come from? If Adam and Eve were the only two people and they begat Cain and Able? Who begat the wives?

God probably made a wife for them, the same way he formed Adam and Eve.

Separate but not equal. Brown v. Board of Education. When the Supreme Court makes a decision, it sets a precedent. Precedent is a legal term. The ruling that separate is inherently unequal applies to everyone and everything in the United States. The Supreme Court did not specify that separate is inherently unequal with regard only to race. It made no specification. Unions for gay couples and marriages for straight couples is inherently unequal and therefore illegal as it was determined in Brown v. Board of Education. Under the law, tradition has no authority. The LAW has authority.

I think it's totally wrong. It should be between just men and women, NOT two guys or two girls. That is disturbing!God said only between man and woman! God doesn't hate gay people he just hates their actions. People who are gay need to change there ways if they want to have everlasting life.

I don't support it, and I am not gay. But I do not think that gay people should not argue for their rights. It's their life after all. Personally, I don't think that it is normal to be "gay". All the major religions and the world's top leaders and minds are against it.

Not me. It wasn't that long ago that it was illegal for people to marry outside of their own race. Most people have since realized what a ridiculous law that was. It seems to me that there are a lot of people who want the government to legislate OTHER people's morality. I'm going to stick with my son's (Quaker) kindergarten teacher's advice when he decided to tattle on some other kids: Don't you worry about what they're doing, dear. You just worry about doing the best that YOU can do.
If everyone is so wrapped around the axle over preserving the sanctity of marriage, why hasn't anyone taken steps to make adultery a capital offense?

Those who have separated Love and God can believe Love is wrong. Those who believe that love is a limited commodity, who believe that love and God are not the same thing, who believe that God is not all powerful, all knowing, and all seeing.. these people think that love cannot exist as a divine force anywhere and everywhere. These are the people who think that 2 people coming together in love is wrong. They think that there can be something wrong with love.
