Well it depends on your definition of them. If a lover for you is someone that you love and they love you back then it's always better than having any friend only because they will later know you better than anyone else. But there is also a good friend that knows you better than anyone else too and helps you through anything. But that good friend could be a lover. So I think that having both in one is better than just having one of them. That way you have comfort of both sides

Truthfully, I think it would be better to have a good friend and a lover. I know that my husband is both my best friend and my lover, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Personally if I had to choose, I would pick a good friend because being a good lover is something that can always be learned at a later date if you are willing to teach. I hope that this is the answer that you are looking for.

You can have many lovers, but only a handful of good friends.
