It depends on the situation... First, I'll try to see how much I like the person. If the feeling's worth it or not. Of course I'd think about that so that I won't have to exert time and effort for nothing... T.T

Then, the next thing that must be considered is my relationship to the person... Are we friends? Does he know me?

Then, after that is what kind of person is he? Of course it matters. I'll see from there whether we're compatible or not.

If we're friends, it's easier to check if I have a chance or not... I could easily talk to him then and probably lure him (lol) to make him talk about the type of girl she likes or if he already saw that girl and if there's one already, who that girl is, and of course, the thing that matters most, IF HE'S TAKEN. If it seemed that I have a chance, then I'll tell him what I feel. But if not, or he is already taken then I won't... gotta move on, y'know. T.T

If we don't really talk to each other, then I'll befriend him... Then when we became comfortable with each other, then it's easier for me to know if I have a chance or not. :)

The thing you have to consider here the most is if you really want the person that much. Because if not, it's not worth the try right? If you really want him, then put your best foot forward may that person be your friend or just someone you see everyday. Make that person fall for you. Know what he/she wants. And lastly, capture his/her heart. :)

if i like someone and she is not my friend then first of all i try to make friendship with her and try to be very close to her.try for always be with her,let her to develop faith in me,try to be talkative and little naughty so she don't find me boring one.and then and i make her to tell what she thinks of me and if she also like me then i will propose her next day otherwise i will be good friend of her.and she is already my friend then i will skip the first step that is making friendship with her.

I think the best thing to be able to know if a person likes you or not is to first befriend him. I had a big crush on a classmate when I was in college for two years. I am not saying I could not take a hint but I can't help but admire him. I don't want to make it obvious but we became friends. He calls me sometimes to ask about our assignments. But that was it, we remain friends but I noticed that he is not interested in me as a potential girlfriend. It is quite discouraging but he is just a crush and I was just admiring him and not falling in love with him, I had to convince myself that so it would be easier for me accept his disinterest.

It may be hard at first but as a friend he shared his crushes with me. He admired a certain singer and he said that he thinks he love her very much. And I said to myself he is no way interested in me. We remain good friends but at least I know where I stand with him.

So, I think it would be best to befriend your crush and try to be yourself. Don't pretend to be someone else so that he will like you. It would be best that he will like you as you are even he will only treat you as a friend than got interested in you because you just pretended to be who you're not. For the true you will resurface sooner or later.

Talk to them, see if they like you, but be casual, don't just put them in the spot light and be all "Do you like me?" it's kinda intimidating, just strike up a conversation and pay attention to there body language you can usually pick up if someone likes your if you are paying enough attention, and then just go with your instincts if you think they like you ask them out.

Don't get yourself trapped in the "Friends Zone" lots of people refuse to date their friends because they don't want to ruin what you two have together, it's pretty sad when that happens, I would suggest if you aren't already friends with this person, don't put yourself in that position.
