Ok, here's my list:

For men:
1. Massage package. Dude are stressed and hurt just as bad a we do. They deserve a professional massage! Or at-home massage that start out with "good intentions" are good also.
2. Weekend getaway for him and the guys. Spend the day with him, then let him "be a manly man" for the weekend. Time apart where he's not feeling smothered is fantastic for any relationship!
3. A really nice watch.. It's boring, but a classic. Pick one that really suits his style and show that you spent time thinking about your man.
4. Cologne. Buy one that you like, not him. Is there one that the minute you smell it makes you want to jump his bones? That's the one. While he might not like it at first, he'll grow to love it in the long run.
5. Sex. If you're of the daring type, try something new to spice up your relationship. Take him to a strip joint. Get new sexy lingerie. Take him to a hotel for one night, and make it all about him, instead of yourself.

For her:
No chocolate and roses here. If my husband were to bring these home I'd kick his behind. They show absolutely no thought!

1. Day spa package. What woman doesn't want to be pampered from head to toe? Get the best package you can afford (but be sure it's a reputable place!)

2. Jewelry. Doesn't have to be the most expensive, but something with a lot of thought put into it. If the woman in your life doesn't have her ears pierced, don't buy her earrings for pierced ears!  (You laugh, but it's been done so many times it's crazy!)  Don't go for her birthstone unless she loves it.  There are some ugly months out there!

3. Concert tickets to her favorite band, and go with her without complaining. Those words "without complaining" are the key here. I don't care if you don't like Celine Dion. Smile as if it's the best thing you've ever heard. After all, it's about time spent together.

4. Mini-Vacation/getaway. Take her out for the weekend. Make reservations at her favorite style of restaurant. Get the nicest room possible. If you're going to get flowers, get them delivered here before you check in, and they'll put them in the room for you.

5. A gift card to her favorite place, a store where she eyes items, but doesn't purchase anything because of the cost. And go with her when she goes shopping with the card. You'll learn a lot about what she really likes when she's not concerned about money, enabling you to get her a better gift for other occasions.
