Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner?

So i just saw an article on the two stars. It said that they are dating. Weird thing is that Lautner is 17 and Swift is 19. I know that that's not much of an age difference, but i would think that the age difference would stir something in the media. I mean people complain about people in their 20s and up dating or sleeping with someone 18 or younger. I have nothing against them being together, i just think its not fair that if you are a certain age like Lautner and Swift, then you can get away with being with one another. Yet if you're just a little older than Swift, you get crap from a lot of people for dating someone Lautner's age.

Im just wondering if you think its fair? If so, why?

I personally think that, if both sides want to see each other no matter the age and they are both happy, then it should be ok. But if one is forced to be with a younger/older person then its not.

What do you think?

As someone who has been married to a man for just over 10 years and whom is 10 and a half years older than me I can tell you that age does not matter. Now if my daughter when she gets to be like 16 give or take and wants date someone in their twenties and God help that person if he's in his thirties that is another story. What it boils down to is it is between the couple and their parents if they are underage to determine if a romantic relationship is appropriate. Taylor L. seems like a sweet guy who has done kiddie movies not that long ago and Taylor S. I love her I listen to her music all the time she seems like a down to earth well rounded girl so they would probably make a good match. But you are right if Taylor L. was dating a girl that was like 21 or 22 the media would probably have a fit because one would be able to drink while the other can't even buy cigarettes yet. I don't think it's fair for the people involved to have to have the media scrutinize their relationship just because of a few years age difference.

Hey do your own thing, dont worry about what others think about you, who cares who, what or whatever anyone thinks... let them live there lives... eventually it will be like most relationships starting out at that age... break up move on and date someone new.. At that age it is very tough to make the right moves in all the right places so I wish them the best of luck but doubt it will pursue into anything big.

This is just me answering this with honesty dont worry about it.

I feel it's fair..Both Taylors seem more mellow and down to earth. they aren't big enough stars to be headlining news and Taylor Swift, at least seems very down to earth, a home town girl...she doesn't deserve negative and excessive publicity....

I feel their age difference is no issue...now 19 and dating someone under 16...that's different...since it is illegal atleast here in WA state...

I also feel there are celebs who are making bigger problems, sucess and are catching the medias attention.

I caught word they were dating months ago...so it really must be on the down low if you're just hearing about it.

Age doesn't matter as long as they're both happy and they're both in love with each other. I think this applies not just to them but to everyone else out there. :) Anyway, let's just hope for the best between the two of them.

Hmm, funny though, they have the same name. ^^ It would be fun seeing them together then both will glance at you when you call out 'Taylor'!

Age shouldn't matter, within reason. Of course anyone under 18 is a minor, so it isn't wise

Well, 20 year olds shouldn't be with teenagers, I mean the teens are just kids, they eat candy and worry about homework and get grounded, where as the 20+ year old people have different priorities, like jobs, and getting a family together, and being adults. But obviously the celebrity world is different and the Taylors have the same priorities.
