Grandmother?

My 80 year old grandma feels ignored. Her birthday is coming next week. Any suggestion to make here happy! What would be an ideal present !

If she is anything like my Grandmother, you will tell her things that you know make her happiest. And they will be the truth. Then she will say to you: "You have made me the happiest person in the world. No one has ever told me anything like that."

The best thing you can give her is yourself, and your time and your caring!

Tell her how much she means to you. If you have to write it down, write it down. Get her favorite flowers, favorite candy, a memory book, photos of you and the family.

Clean her house. Take care of her garden, give her gift coupons.

Arrange a surprise party!!

Maybe you could start out with making your grandmother feel useful and important. Ask her about her childhood, ask questions a la "If you where a child..." Show her that you listen and you respect what she has to say.

Help her clean the house, mow the lawn, cook together. Nothing can make grandparents happier than spending time with their grandchildren.

I think a great birthday party would be a good idea.
You can take this opportunity to show a movie of her.
You can also take this opportunity to prepare photo albums with pictures of her in it and other family members having fun and attending important events.
This will be one of her presents.
In addition to that, maybe you can talk to other famly members about your grandma's feeling and tried to come up with ideas about how she can feel better in the future.

The best gift is time.

Make a calendar of family photos, and mark it with a monthly "date" that you will visit and take her to lunch or shopping.
