Do you identify as straight, gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans, queer or other? Why do you chose that self identifying term?

Language changes and develops. This is particularly true when describing ourselves and our most personal relationships. Do you think choosing a label describes your sexuality or to whom you will partner? Do we choose these words for ourselves or to tell others who we are?

I identify myself as straight but I think that it implies many other social and cultural things that I may or may not believe. It is kind of like the colors blue and pink. if a baby is wrapped in a blue blanket people will believe it is a boy and if a baby is in a pink one they will believe it is a girl. While you can try to make your mind think the opposite, certain parts of society are so ingrained in our heads that it is nearly impossible to break. I think the words and symbols we choose say a lot about ourselves, but I think that it is ultimately up to us to display what we really want me to know.
