Lost Season 6, Episode 4: The Substitute Recap

I'm testing a theory here that there is someone who might be a LOST fan who wants to write a killer minute by minute/scene by scene recap of the last episode of Lost. If this works maybe I will post some more. If you can do it with time stamps like:

01:30 John Locke say TKTKTKTKTKKTKT before TKTKTKTK with TKTKTKTK.
2:45 TKTK KTKTKTK KTKTKTKT
Tip for best answer: M$20.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Locke states that it was never his house, he only stayed there. Sawyer knows that Locke isn't the real Locke, because Locke doesn't appear scared, and Locke was always scared even when he acted otherwise.
13:35 Locke tells Sawyer he can answer the most important question - "why are you on this island". Sawyer believes it is all coincidence. Locke informs him it is not, and if Sawyer accompanies him, he can prove it.

In LA
12:26 Locke is leaving work with his belongings after being fired. He has parked in a regular space and cannot lower the ramp to get into his van. Hurley appears in a suit. Locke criticizes him for his parking job, even though he's done nothing wrong. He asks Hurley who he is. Hurley informs Locke that he owns the company. Locke is surprised to find that Sawyer can see him as well. Locke chases the boy, and stumbles at his feet. The boy tells him "you know the rules, you can't kill him". Locke uses his well known line: "Don't tell me what I can't do!" The boy shakes his head and departs.

On Island
19:05 Sawyer is standing alone, looking and calling for Locke. Richard appears and asks where Locke is. Richard asks Sawyer to accompany him to the temple to find Locke, as Locke is not the real Locke and will only kill him. Sawyer informs Richard he is with Locke to find answers .Richard hears Locke approaching and disappears into the jungle. Locke and Sawyer depart together.

In LA
20:17 Locke is in the interview that was set up by Hurley, being asked tough questions he can't answer. He asks to speak to the interviewer's supervisor.
20:59 The supervisor is Rose. Locke wants a more realistic interview. He informs Locke that he'd like to be a Construction Site Co-ordinator. Rose thinks this would not be a good fit, due to his disability. She is willing to send him, though she knows he won't last, as construction is not realistic. Locke wants to know how she understands reality. Rose tells Locke of her cancer. She says it was hard, but she got through it and accepted it, and Locke should too, by finding a suitable job.

On Island
22:40 Locke and Sawyer are walking through the jungle. Sawyer states his favourite book is Of Mice and Men. Sawyer describes the book - a similar plot to what is occurring now.
23:20 Sawyer pulls a gun on Locke, and considers shooting him. Locke does not seem scared, and tempts Sawyer to proceed. Sawyer asks who Locke is. Locke (presumably as the smoke monster) says he is trapped, and used to be a man. He used to have feelings - joy, anger, fear, betrayal, losing a loved one. Locke says Sawyer can shoot him, but Sawyer is close and it would be a loss to stop now.

On Island
24:49 Ilana and Ben are carrying Lockes body to the Statue to show the people waiting there. Sun, Frank Lapidus, Ben and Illana enter the graveyard, and dig a grave for Locke's body. They place him in it. Ilana wants someone to say a few words. Ben steps up to the task. Ben says Locke was a believer and a man of faith - a better man than Ben himself could ever be, and he is sorry he murdered Locke. They bury the body.

In LA
27:12 Locke awakes from bed, gets dressed, and gets into his wheelchair. He starts to call Jack, but stops after the receptionist picks up, and says he cannot be helped. Helen asks who he had called, and Helen congratulates him. He informs Helen he is fired and won't be seeing Jack.
28:36 The doorbell rings. It is Locke's lost luggage. Locke looks nervous. Helen wants to talk, and asks how Locke got fired. Locke says he lied and didn't go to the conference. He tells Helen to open the luggage. It is full of hunting knives. Helen wants to know what they are for. Locke tells her about the walkabout, and how he wasn't allowed to go. He was upset over this, but Locke admits they were right that he couldn't do it. He is sick of pretending he can do things that he can't. Locke says he is not getting out of the wheelchair, and Helen shouldn't hope for it. Helen says there are miracles. Helen wasn't waiting for a miracle - she was only waiting for Locke. They kiss.

On Island
31:43 Sawyer and Locke approach a cliff. Locke steps on to a ladder on the edge of the cliff where a cave can be seen in the side. Locke steps on to the wooden ladder. Sawyer cautiously joins him. Locke moves over to a rope ladder to the right, and Sawyer's ladder breaks. There are several ladders side-by-side. Sawyer makes it to another rope ladder, only to have it break as well. He is left helpless and swinging. After several attempts, Locke successfully helps him to a safe ladder, and finally to the cave.
34:06 In the cave is a set of scales, with a black rock on one side and a white rock on the other. Locke picks up the white rock, and throws it in to the ocean, stating it's an inside joke. Sawyer is not pleased about this light tone. Locke lights a torch and they enter the cave. He points to the walls and tells Sawyer it’s why him and everyone else are here
35:14 Sawyer takes the torch and looks at the wall. It is covered with the names of the people that have been on the island, each accompanied by one of the numbers (4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42). Most of the names are crossed off.

In LA
35:35 Locke is in a school as a substitute teaching a Phys Ed class. Next he is shown in a classroom, teaching students about the human reproductive system. After school he enters the teacher's lounge where Ben is also there, lecturing people about proper making of coffee. Ben introduces himself as the European History teacher.

On Island
36:59 Sawyer asks who wrote the names, and Locke informs him that Jacob wrote them - but Jacob is now dead. The numbers are shown beside each name. Shots are shown of Jacob meeting each person when they needed him. Sawyer doesn't remember this - however, we know that Sawyer met Jacob at his parents' funeral.
38:04 The numbers are 4 - Locke, 8 - Reyes, 15 - Ford (Sawyer), 16- Jarrah 23-Shephard, 42-Kwon(could be Sun or Jin, it is indeterminate).
39:30 Sawyer was nominated as a protector of the island; Jacob’s replacement. Sawyer now has 3 choices. He can do nothing and potentially be crossed off. He can accept the job and become the new Jacob, the new protector; however, Locke states the island isn't being protected from anything. The third choice is that they can leave together. Locke asks if Sawyer is ready to leave. Sawyer replies "Hell Yes"

-End.

If I didn't have my Vertical Manager duties, I would be on this in a heartbeat. Not only am I a 'uge LOST fan, but I'm slightly fanatical and obsessed with details. You're tempting me, Jason! And if no one else steps forward I may have to grab the bait!

LOST fans, you've gotta go for it!

Rob isn't that a job requirement as a VM already? :P

That would be great. Although, I think if multiple people get involved, there would have to be a re-enactment. I'll play Kate. Lon can play Locke.

I really want to get onto this. But at the moment, I haven't downloaded the episode 4 of Lost. And also I am out of ideas on how to do it. Waiting for @girlieq3000 to show her recap. May be I can start from the next episode recap if I have time. :)

So, why not post this as a "Task"? I'd thought we had that tab for a reason...
