Looking for lake near Denver, within 2 hrs, that has swimming, a cool place to picnic. Any suggestions besides Quincy or Boulder Reservoir?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Right in the center of Loveland is a lake with park. It has been years since I lived there but I seem to remember that there was swimming there.

I'm not sure how far away this would be from you, but I really liked the Great Sand Dunes in the Rocky Mountains.
