Looking for a sweet, martini-like drink for my wife. What's your favorite recipe?

I'm looking for something with gin/vodka with just a few ingredients.
Tip for best answer: M$2.00

Of course, the original girl-tini is the Cosmopolitan:

3 parts Citron Vodka or Grey Goose L'Orange (something citric & high quality)
1 part Cointreau or Grand Marnier
1-2 parts cranberry juice
splash of fresh lime juice or Rose's if she likes it really sweet!

Shake well & garnish with a twist (of lemon or of you.) The drink should be pink as a virginal blush, not the red of a streetwalker's rouge.

Hey cyrusrua--
drmatt attempted to select your answer as the best, but it looks like this question automatically got sent to votes. I'm going to try and fix it manually so that you are awarded the best answer, but if not, I will still award you M$2 that drmatt intended to tip you. I'll keep you all posted on the details. Sorry about the mix-up!

Oops, gin-vodka: Pour a base of gin in the glass. Add crème de cassis or crème de framboise (raspberry), mint leaf and top with a little club soda

bad answer but great taste:
Pour two finger of white rum in a glass, or fill one third of a martini glass with it. Add some Crème de Cassis and top with club soda for fizzy or orange juice for non-fizzy. Strong and delicious.

A very good sweet martini like drink is the Pineapple Upside Down Cake Martini:

Ingredients:
Vanilla Vodka
Amaretto
Pineapple Juice
Grenadine

Use 1/3 Vanilla Vodka
About 1 shot of Amaretto
Fill the glass with Pineapple Juice and add about 1 tsp. of grenadine.

Yum!!!!

I made up a great recipe that my wife is obsessed with.

Mandarin Martini (can substitute orange, grapefruit or other citrus fruit you have laying around)

1 mandarin skinned
2 shots of your favorite vodka
3 tbls orange juice (I do a splash...guessing that's about 3 tbls)
2 tbls (slightly smaller splash than the oj)
ice

Smash the mandarin in a martini shaker using a muddler (or back end of a spachula :)

Add remaining ingredients.

Shake and strain into glass.

Enjoy!

I'm in love with a drink called the "Georgia Peach Martini"

2 oz. of Absolute Citron
1 oz Peach Schnapps
Splash of Orange Juice
and an Orange slice as a garnish.

Shake and strain into martini glass.

Here's a basic concept that is tasty, but might need some tweaking depending on your tastes:

3 parts clementine juice (Hey, they're in season, and it's a lot sweeter than OJ)
2 parts gin
1 part lime juice (not Rose's, doesn't suit the taste here)

Add a dash of sugar to taste.

It's a rough concept - I never really put down a recipe, but the basic combination of tangerine, gin, and lime is delicious and can be adapted for different styles of presentation - for a highball, use club soda on top of this basic recipe. I like it best served more similarly to a margarita, but it'd go over alright in a martini glass too.

Not sure this is entirely martini-like, but try combining (non-alcoholic) apple cider and champagne 1:1. Very tasty. White wine works too in a pinch.

Or the Tuaca-tini, as found on the Internet -- .75oz Tuaca, 1.5oz vodka (good stuff), .75oz cranberry juice. Shake w/ ice, strain, add lemon twist and serve.

I would recommend something with amaretto... depending on how strong you like it... amaretto and coke for something simple :)
