Looking for a root beer recipe that doesn't contain "root beer extract" or the illegal ingredient sassafras bark.

hi, most root beer extract contains: caramel coloring, wintergreen, vanilla, ginger, licorice... in varying degrees

hi, It took a while to find these. What I meant is, you could use any root beer recipe and add your own spices. The spices I listed are what is in rootbeer extract. I've used these great recipes at Root-Beer.org, and other resources here: http://www.thecajunconnection.com/zatRootBeerExtract.html
ask for an ingredients list. It is the law in the US that they must disclose it.
