Looking for a new external hard drive. At least 1TB. Other than newegg, any ideas where to find a good deal?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

is one of the best sites for deals on anything.- airfare to computers, cars to jewelry.. anything thats a great deal...

Its a user community (like Mahalo) and not supported by any retailer. Deals are smoking hot sometimes to warm other times.. Some deals involve coupons, pricematching, MS cashback or alternate payment methods (google checkout, paypal, billmelater or ebillme, etc)...

Here's a a great deal on a 1TB (non external) - for the best deal buy a cheap external enclosure off ebay for $10-20:

HITACHI Deskstar 1TB SATA II 7200 RPM - $74 + FS

I like tigerdirect.com. Get a seagate freeagent, that's what I have. It comes with decent autobackup software also. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4183658&CatId=4230

Costco recently had a deal on a 1.5 T for about $139. I got one recently at Best Buy for $125 and that included the tax. I have a Seagate and a Western Digital. I would recommend the Seagate.
