Making a few assumptions about mythical creatures here of course, I'd pick ghost.

Vampires live forever can be killed, are hunted, can only go out at night and survive off the life force of others - typically without their permission.

Ghosts also live forever, can't be killed, are hunted but never to destroy them, can manifest anytime or anywhere through sheer will force or strong emotions. Ghosts o not require sustenance and can interact with anyone but can also just remain invisible, observe and make small influences to affect a persons life.

Being a person with strong feelings and enjoying making small differences in peoples lives that add up over time without having to kill to survive, I'd rather be a ghost.

I'd also rather be a ghost, but for slightly different reasons. While modern vampires appear to be really sexy AND they retain the ability to connect in a living, breathing, fleshly way, ghosts don't have to take lives or hurt others to survive. In spite of the fact that I'd love to be a sexy vampire, leaping and lurking and generally wreaking havoc, I just can't imagine doing it at the expense of others... and I'd be a terrible 'vegitarian vampire' I'm sure.
