Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

thats exactly where you would fall in love with linux .
you can boot linux from CD itself . there are several distributions in linux offering LIVE CDs either you can download it from their site or you can order , usually it cost you around . 5 to 10 $ depending on the distribution . You can also get a free CD from ubuntu here https://shipit.ubuntu.com/
if yours is a net book and you dont have CDROM drive . you can also load it live from pendrive .

Try this, download Ubuntu 9.4 from here:

http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download

And then burn it to a CD or DVD (or ask a friend to help you with that) and then you can test Ubuntu in your computer even without installing it. If you like it how it works, you can install it, and yes you can have both Ubuntu and Vista. With only the minor annoyance to have to choose between systems at startup.

My I add that windows 7 is a much better option than Vista, if you want to keep a windows operative system, may I suggest you upgrade to 7, it's way better than Vista :)
