What do you think will happen to Nancy Pelosi. Prosecution seems imminent. WHO WILL WIN: The CIA, or Nancy Pelosi???

Many claim that enhanced interrogation techniques were torturous and that they should be criminalized. Many involved with the Bush administration are being prosecuted for involvement in facilities like Guantanamo. But as a part of the Intelligence committee, Pelosi was informed of these criminal techniques in 2002. What will become of this? It seems like a Watergate scandal--type situation at hand.

I think (and maybe hope) that we will not stoop to retroactively criminalizing behavior. You may disagree with waterboarding, but you can't decide now that it was illegal and prosecute people for it. You might think cigarettes should be illegal, but they aren't today, and you can't decide 5 years from now to imprison people who sold cigarettes today.

I do not believe that anyone will be found guilty of any crime related to the interrogation techniques. There may be people who are forced to resign, but if any cases make it to court, I believe they will be thrown out.
