Is it legal to carry mace and a stun gun? I'm usually 100% against weapons... Lately..I'm feeling as if I may need to carry one

ya, its legal, but you should check with ur local police department to make sure
I just heard if it is illegal to carry either of those in the car or home keep a can of bee bug hornet spray. That is legal and would send someone into trouble.

Some places outlaw certain types of items (mace is illegal in NYC, but pepper spray is legal).
I strongly suggest you check the laws. Same goes for stun guns--many jurisdictions, especially urban municipalities, have outlawed stun guns as well.
