There are several things you want to know. Cost should only be one of the concerns. Ask the attorney how he/she would handle the case and why. Let them know what it is that you are expecting and whether or not they can reasonable achieve this goal. Do your homework as well, ask others if they have heard of them or utilized their services. Divorce can get quite messy, you need adequate representation. If you don't feel comfortable disclosing personal matters to this attorney, this may not be your best option. Don't make an immediate decision, go home and think about it. If the attorney seems vague or acts as though they don't have a lot of time for you, take that into consideration. However, a good lawyers record will speak for them. Good luck, hopefully it is smooth sailing.
