Would you rather go to traffic school than contest a moving violation at court?

Did you paid the additional fee for traffic school to void a record?

If it's going to require only three days (evenings, really) and a hundred bucks or so to clear the record, I'd go for it. That would give me a little leeway so that, if I messed up again, I wouldn't have to worry about it affecting my insurance, points on a driver's license, whatever, so much.

Besides: You might learn something in traffic school that will help you become a safer driver, which isn't a bad thing even if you're already, generally, good at it - 'cause, really, we're piloting thousands of pounds of Fiberglas and steel down shared roads, so we can't be too safe about it, right? :)
Asker's Rating:
• You don't assume guilt because there is no record, however, your forced to pay a penalty fee called traffic school and time.

It depends on what the violation was, how good a chance I thought I had of winning a case in court, and what the fees and other penalties would be for each course of action (doing nothing / fighting the ticket in court / going to traffic school).

In the past, I've had fines and point penalites reduced in court. One time, I even won my case and had the ticket overturned. I've never yet gone to traffic school, but I imagine I would be willing to if I got a hefty enough ticket or too many points.

Traffic school is usually three days and in the evenings. The fees are about 100 dollars. If presupposes, you made a mistake, but because of an error free driving record your entitled a waive and can pay a registeration fee. The registration fee pays for traffic school and waiver the violation.
