Have you witnessed road rage? Do you have phone numbers available to report road rage?

One day, I was driving to work early in the morning when suddenly two cars in hot pursuit of each other past me. One car was tailing the other car and hunking and flashing his lights. The car in front slammed on his break putting up white smoke from his tires. The other swerved out of the way nearly hitting me in the adjacent lane. Both cars sped up at high velocities away. No was hurt.

I talked with a friend about what I should have done. He advised me to call the Highway patrol. Is there a fast way to report road rage? If driver becomes hostile towards you and won't disengage, what should you do? In one case, I've heard that you should pull off the side of the road. However, if you a woman, alone, is that a wise decision?

I've seen road rage several times, very similar to what you've described. I immediately called 911 (several times), who patched me over to Highway Patrol, who wanted to know where the drivers were, where they were headed, etc. and asked me to keep them in sight as long as possible. Very quickly in one instance I was then passed by a cop going blazingly fast. By the time I caught up the cop had pulled them both over.

Other times, I never heard what happened. I may have exited before the cop caught up with them, or the police entered the highway ahead of me.

It seems that there is no response if another driver aims road rage at you. If you speed away, you feed it. And if you pull over, you're in danger.

I think the safest thing, if you can do it, is to get off the highway and pull over somewhere like a fire station, police department or even a truck stop. I don't think too many truck drivers would just stand by and watch someone attack a woman, and police and fire fighters would be obligated to defend. I once did this, and when I swerved into the parking lot of the police station, my pursuer quit following me.

License numbers, color and model of the car, male or female, etc.

Aggressive drivers usually can't escape because of congestion. Getting the digital information would help, especially, if you have GPS capability. You could email the image information directly to dispatch.
