What did Pleasant Bridgewater do exactly to extort John Travolta?
Didn't she also steal 650,000 from a client that left it in her trust account? Writ filed against Pleasent Bridgewater
By ARTESIA DAVIS, Guardian Senior Reporter, artesia@nasguard.com
Lawyer Pleasant Bridgewater failed to return $650,000 that she held in trust for a client, a Supreme Court writ alleges.
The firm of Bostwick and Bostwick filed a writ on behalf of the firm Deep Six Expedition on Friday, February 29, 2008, and is requesting the return of the money plus interest. The company is also seeking damages and costs.
The writ alleges that $2 million was wired to an escrow account set up by Bridgewater on behalf of the company, on March 14, 2007. It is further alleged that Bridgewater, who is also a PLP senator, made payments to various vendors from the account between that date and June 8, 2007, the day the company requested Bridgewater transfer the remaining balance of US$649,821.95 to a newly-established account at the Royal Bank of Canada, Freeport.
The plaintiffs allege that Bridgewater's law firm issued a cheque for the money to their lawyers at the firm of Bostwick and Bostwick on February 7, 2008, but the cheque was returned and marked "return to drawer".
I have read so many horrible things about this attorney. I read that she had some people evicted from their home for not voting for her and they had to live out of their car.
Can anyone confirm if they are true?
