Why is the time on my computer two minutes slow?
A few days ago I noticed it was running slow so I corrected it, but now it's right back to being 2 minutes slow again. I've always trusted my computer's time to automatically be correct, how can I fix it? Also, where online can I check the official time? Thank you!

How old is your computer? The system clock is kept on time by the system battery (on the motherboard). If it's a new computer this shouldn't be happening and you should take it to be diagnosed. If it's old, the battery can be dying. But most likely it's falling behind because system clocks tend to lose minutes.
I do suggest that you sync the clock using a tool or a time server from your settings.
The official US time is at www.time.gov or you can go to your time settings on your computer and turn on the option to sync from a time server.
I am also linking to a download page with several utilities that can help you sync your clock.

The battery on your mother board might be loosing its charge.
I would test it and or replace it the other options are ...
You could have set it two minutes ahead and not known it.
You could have a person in your house messing with your head and they set it forward.
But what I recall my instructor in PC maintenance saying was that it was caused by a dying battery. It's a button battery.

Internal clock battery could be dying, or it could be synching with an online clock that's off from yours. Most Windows machines are set to synch with time.windows.com or time.nist.gov.
It could be that someone using your computer set it to that time or that it is synced up with internet time from time.windows.com or another time server.

Usually, time is synced with the server of either Microsoft or Apple. I think they take the time off the Big Ben and change it to suit your timezone. So it depends what you compare it to. It might be your other watch that is out of sync.
It happened to me with my last pc it was caused by a dying battery. Its an easy fix from what I was told.
Use the instructions here to sync to atomic clock:

Another resource for the correct time tracked by atomic clock:

maybe all your other clocks are two minutes fast.
