Dells had a hell of a time with individual keys (or whole columns) going out. The solution was, as odd as it seems, tighten the already tight screws on the laptop. just grab a small screwdriver and goto town on all of the screws you can find. Don't know if this will solve your problem, but I know I've done it dozens of times.
