If your laptop supports HDMI output, I would recommend you use that instead. HDMI cables can carry both video and audio.

Actually, I just found one you can get online for $2.99. A 6 foot version, too.

Anyway, when I have done this in the past, I used a Stereo Headphone to RCA Adapter Cable. Connect the headphone output from your laptop to the TV. You should be able to find a cable like this relatively cheap.
