Ladies, how many tattoos is a turn off to date a guy ?

I only have two tattoos, but after I got my second tattoo, a matching blue bunny to go with my red bunny, my girlfriend said now I look silly, and have too many tattoos. I don't understand, I only have 2. She has one tattoo on her shoulder, a couple of rose buds.

LoL I think your girlfriend doesn't really care on how many tattoos you have but on the designs you have. I saw the picture and I kinda find it a little funny? :D

For me, a guy is okay as long as he's a great person and who could effortlessly make me laugh. I don't care if he have several tattoos... BUT I think too much tattoos don't really look good. So maybe 2 or 3 will do. Plus, the design! It counts too. :)

But when it comes to my guy friends, I don't really pay much attention on how they dress up, or how they present themselves even if they have tattoos all over their body... it's okay.

Aww... thanks for the great comment. ^^ You don't have to regret about the tattoo, you know. Some other people appreciates it. You make others smile when they see your tattoos. Don't mind other people who doesn't want them. We cannot please everybody anyway. So just be happy with what you have and with the people who likes you. :)

Haha! For me they're funny. But like you said, some other people might not really see it as fun as others did. Some may be turned off.

But hey, if your girl really likes you, she won't mind the tattoo that you're having right? ^^

People either think my tatts are funny, or are really turned off by it. I'd rather be int he funny category.

Well, she cannot say she does not like tattoos because she would then be bias in her judgment. My husband has 13 tattoos and I would not mind if he got more, as long as they did not prevent him from being employed. Also I will be honest, if he came home with "bunny" tats, I would be upset. So, her issue is not you having tats, it's the kind of tats. Bunny, whether playboy or not is kinda feminine.

Hope this helps :)

My tattoo artist said if I go big and visible then I could get away with a more feminine tattoo. I didn't think how feminine it would appear to everybody. It's a guy's magazine, so I thought the logo would be masculine enough.

To me, it really isn't about the tattoos. It's about the person, and his (or her, but I prefer men) personality.

That said, the content of the tattoos could influence my decision. I wouldn't date someone with Playboy tattoos, for instance, because I don't support that corporation.

Just because I have playboy bunny tattoos doesn't mean I support the corporation either. It's not like some days I would wake up and decide I'm not going to wear my bunnies today.

I think that tattoos are very hot. I think that it really doesn't matter how much you have, but what the tattoos mean. If theyre just there because you think they look cool, then it looks weird, but if your body is filled with tattoos but each of them having a great meaning to you, then that's sexy. I saw the picture of the playboy bunnies. I think that that's really cool. I'm pretty sure that they have a meaning to you, so i don't think it's stupid. As long as they have a meaning to you besides the fact that you got the other just to match the first one you got, then it's good. Maybe she just thinks it looks silly because there are just two and they are of the same thing just different colors. I don't know the reason, but you should just talk to her. everyone sees their tattoos differently from others.

I think theyre cool. dont feel bad. im pretty sure there are really weird ones somewhere out there lol

Thanks for the comment...I'm not a player or porn star or anything like that. Some days I do wake up and see my bunnies peering back at me in the mirror and I wonder what did I do, but most of the time I love them.

well the main thing is that you like them...as long as you like them overall, then you have nothing to worry about...it's your body...you can do what you want with it...and i know you're not a player or anything...a lot of people love the bunny symbol anyways...just think...you're kinda saving more money by getting it tattooed on you...than buying the products here and there lol...again...cool tatts

I agree with thebandit above, however, I would like to add that full sleeve tats are definitely won't help one's chances with me. It's just a preference, or I should say non-preference, of mine.

It all depends on the person, I wouldn't care how many tattoos the person has. As long as it's the person who I like. Although, thinking about it, I wouldn't want someone who doesn't need a shirt anymore, because of all the tattoos.

Honestly, a lot of women will tell you that "it's not about the outside", and while true, it's not exactly all there is to it. Most women I've encountered (be it on dates, friends, peers, in Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, the US, Canada, Mexico) are of the opinion that they don't pay much attention to the appearance of a date or person they are interested in. Unfortunately, that's more wishful thinking than reality. Most of them, when confronted with people that don't really match their expectations from a first impression or a first glance, are immediately set on getting through the date and let that be that.

There's plenty of psychological evidence towards this. Men and women have preset values preset, including some that predisposes us to certain kinds of men or women that we consider attractive (both physically, mentally or even emotionally). Some scientists and doctors say that it is believed that women, for instance, tend to be attracted to the same archetype of man that their father is. Of course, as with every psychological and sociological study, the jury isn't just still out, but also your mileage may vary from person to person.

I think a better thing to ask yourself is the following: should you care? I personally don't think so. You should be comfortable with yourself first and foremost, and if that includes having 10 tattoos on your arm, so be it. The good news is that I am almost certain that there is a certain kind of woman who is actually attracted to 10 tattoos on that particular arm. Just be you, because I am sure there's women out there who are looking for exactly the kind of guy you are. I guarantee it.

Now, in terms of your current girlfriend, she likes tattoos but she may just not like *those* tattoos. Now the ball is in your proverbial park, and you should consider either a) removing the offending tattoo or b) hope that your new blue bunny grows on your girlfriend. Hopefully love will help on that front, but that's a completely different topic.

Hope that perspective helps :)

Its not a matter of how many but where and what they are, for me anyway. Its subjective. A neck tattoo is a deal breaker for me, but might be a turn on for someone else.
