How realistic is the music video for "Stress" by Justice?

The video very realistically portrays street violence by members of a gang. It's obviously filmed specifically for the video, but is designed to look like it's really happening, and is actually pretty troubling.

How common is this type of behavior in major European cities? Does the video do a good job of bringing this kind of behavior to light, or is it inappropriate? Do you think it glamorizes this kind of anti-social behavior?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Ive never been to europe personally but i have friends who were raised there and moved here. What i gather from them and people who have visited europe is that this is not realistic at all. With any big city there is going to be gang problems, but as far as this "warriors" style violence its really just cinematic.

I do think it glamorizes this style of violence and destruction but really it matches the style of music. I think its more to enhance the feeling of the song (which it does well) than to encourage people to do these kind of things. It would be a much less intense overall feeling if it was a cliche video with guys playing keyboards and looking upset. Also i dont think they were trying to bring any of this to light or trying to stop any sort of violence becuase its all fairly unrealistic.

I believe theres some sort of message to be had with the crosses. but who knows? artists can be weird and it might just be meant to be interpreted however you want, depending on the individual.

p.s. great band, ive never heard them before.

Yeah, Justice is great. Glad you liked it.

The crosses are their logo, by the way, so I don't think it has any PARTICULAR meaning for this video, beyond the generally ironic meaning it has as the band's symbol.
