Just read on Amazon that Halo 3: ODST will have 1750 achievement points. Can anybody confirm or deny this?

Yes this is correct, just jumped on bungie.net, the offical site and it says that the game will ship with 1750gs not including the original halo 3's achievements.

1000points for the campaign
750points for all the DLC that comes on the second disk
