Just became a grandpa. Thoughts and pics. Im only 43 so don't be shy. I am nowhere a grandpa does it define you

Being a grandparent doesn't define your "age," and your age doesn't define you! Being a grandparent helps mold you into who you are in the long run, which is a blessing in itself. Have fun with this new life experience and teach that baby something he/she will never forget, and will be proud to tell people about one day!! :o)

congratulations! No, being a grandpa doesn't define you, being a good person defines you. Always be there for the little one and their parent and you will be remembered forever.

First 'do no harm' is a good start. You are kind of young for a granpa but that's not necessarily a disadvantage. It helps if Grandpas are available. Sometimes parents lives are really filled and having a grandpa able to step in to fill gaps is important. (Grandmas, too.) You can take the position that you've seen it all already and you don't have to act shocked. (You haven't, really, but acting is a good talent to develop.) And you can even take a deep breath and step in where angels fear to tread. Declare that even though you did such and so, you now realize it was wrong.
