Should Jason Calacanis be forbidden from ever doing impressions ever again?

(TWiT 180)

John C. Dvorak? waa
Christopher Walken? gah
Jerry Seinfeld? ooff

Were there any others? I turned off my brain at that point.

It was like staring directly at the sun...

I think he should stick to one impersonation per appearance. His recent appearance on Twit showed his Christopher Walken impression bleeding all over his Jerry Seinfeld impression. It might have been easier to swallow the Seinfeld voice if he hadn't been doing so much Walken right before.

No! Sometimes it's so bad it's good! I'm thinking his Dvorak right now - it's clearly not the real thing, but the overall dismissal of all things, the phraseology, and the sarcasm capture the essence. And since he's often Dvorak's target, it's fair.

This is not to say I dislike Dvorak, but Calacanis helps me deal with him.

It's okay if we bar the Seinfeld one though!

Jason's impressions are funny as long as he doesn't overdo it. That last TWiT might have been a bit much, but it was indeed better than listening to Dvorak be cynical about e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g.

What? No! You'd be crazy to want him to stop.

No, not forbidden. Moderation is the key.

Do you really think JC can be moderate?

I don't know him personally, so I'm not sure if he is capable of being moderate. Leo should have redirected the conversation on the podcast in question. Had there been a few other dominant personalities on the show, there probably would have been fewer impressions. Dvorak, for instance, is great at keeping everyone on task. A combination of too few personalities and lack of interesting topics made for a lackluster podcast. Fortunately, this is not a common occurence on TWIT.

Heavens No. His horrible impressions compared to Leo's great ones are like day and night. How would you know it was day without the night?
