I believe a boss should be a "working boss" not someone who sits around and delegates tasks. Also, a boss should never ask or expect someone to do anything that they wouldn't t do themself. Open communication is a key with getting your employees to work. I recommend not getting too friendly with employess as sometimes this can backfire on you. Been there done that. Obviously you must be on the ball having been chosen for this position. As for my current boss....wouldn't change a thing. P.S. Please do not let this authority go to your head and change you into thinking you are better than all....I have witnessed this too.
