If I were to post my resume to a personal domain (with plans to send people there), should I exclude any information?
I'm looking for a new job. My degree is kind of unique so it is difficult getting it to the right place. I have been sending out quite a few resumes and have only had a chance at a few interviews. I was thinking about putting a "Looking For Job" in the Jobs section of the big city newspaper and putting a short description about myself with a link to my website with resume. Is this a bad idea?

I think that posting your full resume online is almost required now for a lot of industries, Orange.
If you're nervous about your contact information getting out, there is nothing wrong with grabbing a P.O. box and signing up for a cheap VoIP phone number while you're job searching.

You should probably exclude your address, just in case some crazy person decides to stalk you. Its easier to block phone numbers, than to get a restraining order on someone. I think phone numbers and emails are ok. If you have any kids, you should also have very limited information about them. Other than these tips, anything else is probably alright.
