Jason Calacanis's book recommendations
When answering:
If you can list books he has already recommended that would be the best. Please provide a link to where he recommended the book if possible.
Otherwise, try to think like Jason - what books would he recommend, and more importantly, why?
Please don't recommend books YOU think I should read. I'm looking for books Jason thinks I should read.
If your name happens to be Jason Calacanis, feel free to answer too (but I won't give you best answer, since I hear Mahalo employees aren't allowed to keep their $M)
I would prefer for the books to be available on 1) Kindle, 2) Audible. I don't really want dead tree editions.
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The only business book that I can find him even mentioning favorably - and he doesn't say a lot about it! - is The Business of Happiness: 6 Secrets to Extraordinary Success in Life and Work by Ted Leonsis.

This is - as you asked - what I think Jason would say, not my own recommendation!
It'll be interesting to see if I guessed right.

M$It's an electronic journal published by the International Society for Philosophers and it has monthly editions focusing on philosophical and business ethics. For example some of the recent articles this year are, and I'll list a few from the two latest editions:
'Why Punishment Fails or Succeeds: Existential reflections from one being punished' by Neil Abramson
'Answer on the Ethics of Monetary Interest' by Geoffrey Klempner
Call for Papers: African Philosophy of Management
'The Hippocratic Oath of the Manager: Good or Bad Idea?' By Sean D. Jasso
'Globalisation: Building A Global Ethics' by Rajakishore Nath
'Two Tentative Answers on Ethics' by Geoffrey Klempner
The reason I suggest this journal is because ethics in business will help a business succeed, irrespective of where and what it involves. General knowledge of ethical issues for a manager is a way to understand both clients and employees, and in Jason's case many of those will never meet him so his online persona is very important. How that comes across is, I think, essential for a good global entrepreneur.

Thanks, I think your right, that he would say experience over books.
I did hear him recommend a book on a recent TWiT (I think) - Talent is Overrated, looks great and it's in my lineup for either Audible or my Kindle. http://bit.ly/cHSkmz
If I can channel Jason for a minute, I suspect he would enjoy and possibly recommend "Rework" by the 37Signals guys too... I am eagerly anticipating this book! http://bit.ly/cxEy11
That Talent is Overrated book looks interesting. Sounds like it's more on this kind of theory:
