jailbroken iPod touch?
I have a 1gen iPod touch. It is jailbroken but I want to un-jailbreak it. I bought it second hand so it already had the appstore update on it but it's not actually downloaded onto my computer as I have not bought it. If I restore my iPod on iTunes will it un jailbreak and keep it's current firmware? Ask if you need more details pls help

I'm pretty sure if you restore it, iTunes will treat it as a new iPod and should let you download that update for free. I remember my friend had a first generation iPod touch and had a problem with it and had to restore it and when she told me it gave her the 2.0 update. However I'm not so sure if you'll get the 3.0. But If you are considering getting the 3.0 update anyway, then you should just restore it and download the 3.0 update even if it requires you to pay $10 because you will have had to pay it anyway and it will include the "January Update", the 2.0 Update, and (of course) the 3.0 update. So to sum it up, you may or may not get the 2.0 update for free if you restore but if you were just gonna buy the 3.0 update anyway, then do so because everything previous to that will be included.

Actually, 3.0 is just $4.95 now! First gen-iPod touch users spent $40 on updates if they purchased them all as they became available, but Apple has lowered the price to upgrade from any previous version to 3.0 to just $4.95! See Apple's iPod touch Software Update page for more info.
